THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Foodies!

Well, we are one week away from THANKSGIVING DAY! At our house, this entails several activities! There are birthdays, guys going hunting, BLACK FRIDAY MADNESS, dealing with leftovers after stuffing ourselves, and pulling out those CHRISTMAS decorations!

Trying not to let it all fall into a cluster effect! Taking one day at a time!
I figure if I want to experience the BLACK FRIDAY NIGHTMARE, all I have to do is hurl myself into a wall at my home a number of times and then just sit down and order online!
NO THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Also don’t be like the smart-jerk shopper! Guy says, “Shot my first turkey today….yep, you should of see all the people I scared the living daylights out of in the FROZEN FOOD SECTION of the grocery store!” Oh yes, we know those pushy shoppers—DON’T BE ONE!
“GOBBLE UNTIL YOU WOBBLE”!

Each year HUBBY and I hosted THANKSGIVING for our families. The past two years have not been so successful due to the PANDEMIC. Makes me a little sad! I love the large groups but am very understanding of this. Even so, it is so important to stay grounded with HOME, FAMILY AND FRIENDS!
HOME is where we GROW, where we LEARN the TRADITIONS that SHAPE US!

I love gathering in the KITCHEN! I always try to remember the KITCHEN RULES: Be GRATEFUL; just ROLL with it; SEASON everything with LOVE; Add a SPOONFUL of SUGAR to make LIFE SWEETER!

The bottom line here, “TIME SPENT WITH FAMILY IS WORTH EVERY MINUTE!” Try your best to COME GATHER AROUND THE TABLE!
I hope all you FOODIES have a bountiful THANKSGIVING which includes lovely memories along with full bellies!
We all know that THANKSGIVING is a time to GIVE, a time to LOVE, and a time to REFLECT on the things that matter most in our lives!
“IF YOU NEED HELP, ASK GOD! IF YOU DON’T NEED HELP, THANK GOD!”

TAKE NOTE: THE LIGHTING OF THE NATIVITY will take place on Saturday, November 27th from 3:30-6:30 pm. It is a great event to bring your family to witness. There will be activities for the children to do along with taking selfies with SANTA. The DOWNTOWN MARKET VENDORS will be on site and most of the food/beverage places around the COURTHOUSE SQUARE will be open. The WALKING LADIES are presently working on putting permanent lighting of the oaks. We can no longer wrap the trees due to the heavy equipment that is necessary to put the lights on. The heavy equipment was damaging the root system. Unfortunately, we will not have the permanent lighting this coming year. As we all know, products/services are hard to come by. Hopefully, we will have this done soon. The PERMANENT LIGHTING WILL BE USED TO SHOW OFF ALL THE BIG HOLIDAYS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR!

KITCHEN WILL BE CLOSED ALL NEXT WEEK AND THROUGH MONDAY, NOVEMBER 29TH AND WILL REOPEN ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30TH! You know the drill, I will post most of my doings and going-ons in the kitchen. Just drop in and check every so often, to see what mischief I am up to!
GRAND PEEP GABRIELLE will be celebrating her birthday on the 21st. She will be 7 years old. She is the BABY GRAND PEEP. Hope to be a part of that event.
