Tantalizing Avocado Tartare
Ingredients
- 2 T. extra virgin olive oil
- ½ red medium onion, minced
- 1 T. Dijon mustard, extra for garnish
- 2 T. fresh lime juice
- 2 T. drained capers
- 2 T. chopped parsley
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
- 1 T. Worcestershire sauce
- Kosher salt, red/black pepper, garlic powder
- 3 medium avocados, ripe (peeled and finely diced)
- Toasted baguette slices or favorite crackers
Instructions
- In a bowl, stir the olive oil with the onion, mustard, lime juice, capers and parsley.
- Stir in jalapeno, Worcestershire sauce and season with salt, peppers and garlic powder.
- Gently fold in avocados.
- You can place the mixture into a shallow dish, that is sprayed with PAM, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours or until it allows the mixture to hold together.
- Remove from refrigerator, remove wrap and invert onto serving dish.
- Place a dollop of Dijon mustard on top in the center, optional and serve with your favorite bread or crackers.
