Sweet Pickled Banana Peppers
Ingredients
- ½ lb. banana peppers, seeded and sliced crosswise into rings
- PICKLING JUICE:
- 2 c. white vinegar
- ⅔ c. white sugar
- 1 t. mustard seeds
- 1 t. celery seed
- 1 t. salt, optional
- 2 t. red pepper flakes, optional
Instructions
- Sterilize two ½ pint jars.
- Bring all the pickling ingredients to a rolling boil.
- Place peppers in jars.
- Pour hot juice to within ½” of the top.
- Be sure edge of jar has on juice on it.
- Place lids and screw on bands finger-tips tight.
- Seal jar and leave 2 weeks.

*****Refrigerate once open it.
