SPRING IS SPRUNG AND HOPPY EASTER IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!

Good Morning Foodies!

We are 2 weeks away from HOLY WEEK and EASTER SUNDAY. I am going to try and squeeze in, as much as I can, in this short period of time. I really enjoy the LENTEN SEASON because I love SEAFOOD! When planning this post, I had to laugh at the thought, about not eating meat on Fridays, during Lent. I thought, GOD, really does love us Southern people! If he wanted to make things really tough, he would say, “NO SEAFOOD DURING LENT!” Now, that would be a tough penance! Just imagine giving up Crawfish Boils, Crawfish Etouffee, Crab Boils, BBQ Shrimp, Oyster Po-Boys and Fish Fries! Oh yes, that would be so hard to do. We are so blessed with the abundance of SEAFOOD SELECTIONS, here in Louisiana, and the multitude of ways, of preparing the delicacies of the water ways! The thing, that I am most grateful for, is the many opportunities of family and friends to come together and enjoy each other’s company while feasting on these wonderful dishes.

If you are so blessed to be around loved ones, just for a moment—BE SILENT AND LISTEN to your heart and take in that moment. By the way, did you notice that, SILENT AND LISTEN, have the same letters! Pretty cool! As you gather around the table or whatever setting is around you, remember- HAVING SOMEPLACE TO GO IS HOME; HAVING SOMEONE TO LOVE IS FAMILY; BUT HAVING BOTH IS A BLESSING!
