Sis's Sweet Cheese Ball
Ingredients
- 2 (8-oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1 t. salt
- 2 T. chopped green onions
- 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 c. chopped dates
- 1 c. golden raisins
- 1 c. craisins
- 1 c. chopped toasted pecans
Instructions
- Layer pecans on baking sheet and toast in 300 degree oven for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally, to toast on all sides.
- In large bowl, mix all ingredients and blend with electric mixer.
- Shape into desired shape. You can make one large ball or smaller ones. Wrap in saran wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve. Let come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving.

*****This recipe is from my sister-in-law, Ruth “Sis” Morrow Laporte. It is a great change from the typical cheese ball. The dried fruits give it a little pleasant kick!
