Ingredients
  • 2 orange, cut into wheels
  • 1 lime, cut into wheels
  • 1 lemon, cut into wheels
  • ½ green apple, cored and chopped into small pieces
  • ½ red apple, cored and chopped into small pieces
  • 6 oz. simple syrup (you can make it or buy it)
  • 4 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 (750 ml.) bottle dry red wine (Spanish Wine is usually best)
  • 6 oz. brandy
  • 1 c. club soda, optional
  • Additional fresh fruit for garnishing
Instructions
  1. Place the orange, lime and lemon wheels in large glass pitcher.
  2. Add the simple syrup.
  3. Muddle with a large wooden spoon.
  4. Add orange juice and lime juice and muddle a little more.
  5. Add wine and brandy and stir well.
  6. Place pitcher in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to 36 hours. Longer the better.
  7. Add ice cubes until pitcher is full. Mix with a few stirs. Add club soda if you like a little fizz.
  8. Pour into stemmed wine glasses and garnish.
Notes
*****For a white sangria, substitute a dry white wine and use 3 oz. white grape juice for the lime juice and slices of apple.
