Good Morning Foodies! Just imagine I have not seen you since last year! We all know that this time of year brings about the following flow of thoughts:
REVELATION—-(SOMETHING ENLIGHTENING OR ASTOUNDING)—“I MUST DECIDE WHAT GOALS I WANT TO ACHIEVE THIS NEW YEAR!”
RESOLUTION—-(FIRMNESS OF SOME PURPOSE)—“I HAVE DECIDED WHAT GOALS WILL WORK FOR ME—I THINK!”
RESTITUTION—-(RESTORING TO SOMETHING MANAGEABLE)—“I MUST STRIVE NOT TO SET MYSELF UP FOR FAILURE AND NOT BE SO HARD ON MYSELF IF MY GOALS ARE NOT ACHIEVED! “
If you recall, last year at this time, I said that basically RESOLUTIONS, usually set us up for failure. We tend to focus on WEIGHT LOSS, MORE EXERCISE, EATING HEALTHY, ETC. Yes, these are great but we all know at some point in time, FAILURE SETS IN! I have decided to do things for other people or things that make me feel good about myself. I have decided I’ll never get down to my original weight and I am okay with that……after all, 7 lbs. 6 oz. is JUST NOT REALISTIC! I just try to wake up each morning and be thankful for my family, friends, and health and always try remember to thank GOD, for all my blessings!
This month’s menu/recipe postings do not have any particular theme. I thought I would just post things that I like to eat at this time of year.
