OCTOBER IS A SPECIAL TREAT!

Good Morning Foodies!

I love the month of OCTOBER! The weather can be so fantastic! Light those Fires, Snuggle with your Favorite Blanket, Stretchy Pants, Warm Toddies and all those Belly-Filling Comfy Foods! Doesn’t get any better!

Even though, this is my favorite time of year, it also makes me realize how close the HOLIDAYS are! I really try not to let stores ruin that for me by combining HALLOWEEN, THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS. You can actually go down one aisle in some stores and all these HOLIDAYS are covered! I already feel like, some days MY LIFE is just a TENT away from a CIRCUS, this just adds to the insanity!

Once again, I pull myself back and try to focus on FAMILY! I know TIME spent with FAMILY is WORTH every MINUTE! I always think of that saying, “FAMILY is like BRANCHES on a TREE. We GROW in DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS but yet our ROOTS REMAIN AS ONE!”

I think it is nice when you have family and maybe you didn’t realize that you were making MEMORIES because basically you were just having FUN!
So, when you think you have to venture out there to have FUN or create a MEMORY, just stop and look in your own BACKYARD! LOVE is more important than ANYTHING. It is what TIES EVERYTHING completely TOGETHER!

FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE NOT AN IMPORTANT THING—-THEY ARE EVERYTHING!
Here are the OCTOBER BLESSINGS!
B e present!
L et the day flow with grace!
E xpect joy and be positive!
S erve with compassion!
S peak only kindness!
I mpart only love!
N ever forget you are not alone!
G ive thanks for everything!
S ee goodness in others!

I always try to remember the BITTERSWEET OCTOBER, THE MELLOW, MESSY, LEAF-KICKING, PERFECT PAUSE between the opposing MISERIES OF SUMMER AND WINTER!

So, get out there and kick up a few leaves!

Hubby and I get to fly with the LSU FOOTBALL TEAM to Kentucky this weekend. I was hoping for a better game last weekend before this trip. Not sure what the mood will be on the flight! Oh well, it is a new experience for me. Will try to enjoy the ride!

Have a safe and productive weekend!
