Nicole's Mardi Gras Monkey Bread
Ingredients
- MONKEY BREAD:
- 4 cans (refrigerated biscuits-10/can), regular size, not Grands
- 1 ½ t. cinnamon
- 1 ¾ c. sugar, divided
- ¼ c. light brown sugar
- ¼ c. evaporated milk
- ¾ c. butter
- ICING:
- 4 c. powdered sugar
- ½ c. heavy cream
- 1 t. vanilla
- Food coloring
- Color sprinkles (purple, green, yellow)
Instructions
- Mix cinnamon and ¾ c. of sugar.
- Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces and roll in sugar mixture and place in Bundt pan that has been sprayed with PAM.
- Mix the 1 c. sugar, brown sugar, milk and butter in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and pour over the biscuits in Bundt pan.
- Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until looks done.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool for 2-3 minutes.
- Invert onto serving platter.
- Icing:
- Mix sugar, cream and vanilla together.
- Divide icing into 3 bowls and color with food coloring (purple, green, yellow).
- Place the 3 colors into 3 zip-lock bags and cut a small part of the bottom corner of bag. Squeeze the color icing over the warm cake.
- Sprinkle with colored sprinkles.
- Serve cake warm if possible.

*****You can change up the colors of icing and sprinkles to fit the different holidays.
