NEW MONTH-NEW ACTIVITIES!

Good Morning Foodies!

Well, here it is—SEPTEMBER! In my mind, it is an evolution of time. All sort of great things begin at this time of year! KIDS BACK IN SCHOOL AND ACTIVITIES; FESTIVALS AROUND THE STATE BEGIN; FOOTBALL IS BACK; TIME TO DUST OFF THE GUMBO POTS; BUT THE BEST THING IS WEARING THOSE BIG COMFY CLOTHES! Ah-yes, LIFE IS BACK TO NORMAL!

Headed to the BIG EASY to see my TIGERS play FLORIDA STATE in the SUPERDOME on Sunday night! Hoping Brian Kelly has a great game with his new team and job.

Then once you recover for all that—you have that wonderful last chance to celebrate the end of SUMMER, sort of! LABOR DAY CELEBRATION is here! Always a great time for families and friends to gather.

“OVERACHIEVING”—yep that fits me to the tee, when it comes to providing food for family and friends or just plain entertaining. This is what makes me happy and feel fulfilled. We should all have something in our lives that makes us want to get up every day and face the world.

I cannot begin to tell you FOODIES, how much you have impacted my life. I have met so many wonderful people, learned from some of the best and able to share something that I love to do.

We should all have the motto-“DO MORE OF WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY”!

One of the best descriptions of living a life goes like this—“This is the BEGINNING of a NEW DAY. You have been GIVEN this DAY to use as you WILL. You can WASTE it or USE it for GOOD. What you do TODAY is IMPORTANT because you are EXCHANGING a DAY of your LIFE for it. When TOMORROW comes, this DAY will be GONE FOREVER. In its place is SOMETHING that you have left BEHIND. Let it be something GOOD.
