MOTHERS PLUS LOVE EQUALS FOND MEMORIES!

Good Morning Foodies! As I look at my calendar, I see I am headed for a weekend of great events that will create great memories!
Before I begin my story today, I want to take time to give a HIGH FIVE to all those TEACHERS OUT THERE! For some reason, this event slipped through my calendar. I taught SPECIAL ED and loved my job. TEACHERS need all the standing applause and pats on the back for jobs well done. Take time to give TEACHERS in your life a “BIG THANK-YOU”!

Today is my son, CRAIG’S, birthday! On Sunday, we celebrate MOTHER’S DAY! My son and I always have this discussion about which came first-the CHICKEN OR THE EGG! Craig said that because of him, I celebrate MOTHER’S DAY and I tell him he celebrates a BIRTHDAY because of me! We always have a great laugh! The BATTLE OF WITS CONTINUE!

Most importantly, today I want to take time and wish my first born, my only son, CRAIG, a very HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! He is like the icing on the cake when it comes to MOTHER’S DAY!

Needless to say, he has made me a very proud mother! He is a fabulous SON, BROTHER, HUSBAND, FATHER, LAWYER, FRIEND and just an over-all caring person! His father and I are in awe of the upstanding gentleman he has become. So, CRAIG, let those four lovely daughters and your fantastic wife, pamper you today! Love you, son! You bring a big smile to my face and fill my heart with so much love and admiration!
Since my MOTHER is no longer with me, I rely on MEMORIES AND PICTURES so that I can recall some of the best times of my life.
MEMORIES make us who we are—the PAST sometimes defines us, but we can’t forget to GROW and EVOLVE. Sometimes a MEMORY can become so powerful that we get stuck in it and FROZEN in a MOMENT.

Yes, some MEMORIES are PRECIOIUS, and we need to cherish them. I have found that if we ROOT ourselves too DEEPLY into the PAST, we might miss what is RIGHT IN FRONT OF US! We must remember that FOREVER is composed of “NOWS”!
Some MEMORIES are so POWERFUL that they never FADE. MEMORIES become more POWERFUL every time we REMEMBER THEM. A DISTANT MEMORY makes our PRESENT LIVES a little more FADED—but let’s not think about that right now!
YESTERDAY is WIND at your back; TODAY is a GIFT and TOMORROW is a promise of HOPE!
GEAUX OUT AND MAKE FANTASTIC MEMORIES FOR YOURSELF AND THOSE AROUND YOU!
