MOTHERS PLUS LOVE EQUALS FOND MEMORIES!

Good Morning Foodies! As I look at my calendar, I see I am headed for a weekend of great events that will create great memories! Our oldest GRAND PEEP, COURTNEY, will being celebrating her RING MASS AT THE SACRED HEART ACADEMY. She will officially become a SENIOR in HIGH SCHOOL! My, my, where does the time go! Saturday is my son, CRAIG’S, birthday! On Sunday, we celebrate MOTHER’S DAY! My son and I always have this discussion about which came first-the CHICKEN OR THE EGG! Craig said that because of him, I celebrate MOTHER’S DAY and I tell him he celebrates a BIRTHDAY because of me! We always have a great laugh! The BATTLE OF WITS CONTINUE!

Since my MOTHER is no longer with me, I rely on MEMORIES AND PICTURES so that I can recall some of the best times of my life.

MEMORIES make us who we are—the PAST sometimes defines us, but we can’t forget to GROW and EVOLVE. Sometimes a MEMORY can become so powerful that we get stuck in it and FROZEN in a MOMENT.

Yes, some MEMORIES are PRECIOUS, and we need to cherish them. I have found that if we ROOT ourselves too DEEPLY into the PAST, we might miss what is RIGHT IN FRONT OF US! We must remember that FOREVER is composed of “NOWS”!

Some MEMORIES are so POWERFUL that they never FADE. MEMORIES become more POWERFUL every time we REMEMBER THEM. A DISTANT MEMORY makes our PRESENT LIVES a little more FADED—but let’s not think about that right now! YESTERDAY is WIND at your back; TODAY is a GIFT and TOMORROW is a promise of HOPE!
