LITTLE BIG CUP!!!!
Good Morning Foodies! Today’s posting is for all you Foodies who live in the vicinity of the little town of Arnaudville, LA. (HUBBY’S HOMETOWN) Within the last few years, this community has come together and managed to pump new blood into those dying downtowns of so many cities. They strive to keep the French language afloat along with art, food, etc. The newest addition is a little restaurant called, “LITTLE BIG CUP”. The owner, Kevin Robin, has put a great deal of work into this gem on the bayou! It is a beautiful little place. Originally, it started as a breakfast gathering sort of place but has grown by leaps and bounds. He opened the adjoining building for more dining space, along with a nice porch and dock on the backside. I have not had the opportunity to do the breakfast or the fabulous Saturday and Sunday Brunch. I really need to check these out. Last night, Hubby and I decided to go away from all the noise! We did not realize they had a seafood buffet but had great specials along with their regular menu. The buffet cost approximately $20 per person. The buffet included: Salad, Corn Macque Choux, Sauted Veggies, Roasted and Fried Potatoes, Crawfish Etouffee/Rice, Seafood Stuffed Fried Catfish Rolls, Whole Fried Catfish, Creamy Stuffed Baked Tilapia, and Fried Shrimp! Geezzzz!! They were very good about keeping everything supplied and hot. Hubby got the buffet, we split the Crabcakes over Fried Green Tomatoes and I had the special, Bronzed Red Snapper over a bed of garlic saute spinach and crab fried rice! Needless to say, everything was YUMMY! To top it off, we had a top-notch waiter, JONATHAN! He was very informative, polite and enthusiastic all in one roll! To make it even nicer, we were sitting next to some of my FOODIE FOLLOWERS! If you want to treat yourself to a little atmosphere that is away from the hustle-bustle of noisy places—CHECK IT OUT!
