Good Morning Foodies!

As I look at the calendar, I can almost call to mind the images of what all you FOODIES are doing just about now! There are numerous GRADUATIONS, AWARD BANQUETS, CLOSING OUT CEREMONIES, PLANNING FOR THE UPCOMING MEMORIAL HOLIDAY and let us not forget—SUMMER VACATIONS! What a Whirl Wind!

When I go to the mail box at this time of year, I expect to see a flood of GRADUATION INVITATIONS! It is a most wonderful time for these GRADUATES! If you think really hard, you can remember that feeling—it was a cross between FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN and that FABULOUS SPREADING OF YOUR WINGS! We have all been down that road at some point in time. IT IS A PASSAGE OF LIFE! We must all “TRUST OUR JOURNEY”, at some point in time.
Trust me, being a part of your GRAND PEEPS COLLEGE GRADUATION and having their GRAND POPPA hand them their diplomas-IS THE MOST HEART FUL-FILLING FEELING. Brought such happy tears to my eyes! A most unique and rare occasion that can happen. We all enjoyed this important passage of time! GEAUX TIGERS!

You know the old saying: “THE THREE “C’S OF LIFE—You must make a CHOICE to take a CHANCE or your life will never CHANGE!”

We must all remember as we go through all phases of our lives, “DON’T LET YESTERDAY USE UP TOO MUCH OF TODAY!” We will all make mistakes, but learn from it and keep moving forward!

Always try to “GROW BIG DREAMS” and never, never put the KEY TO YOUR SUCCESS in someone else’s POCKET!
I know that is so easy to just get wrapped up the word HOLIDAY and not really pay attention to the true meaning of this date! I am sure that every one of us has a HEART THAT BEATS TRUE FOR THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE. We must stop and take a moment and remember that this HOLIDAY is paying tribute and remembering the people who died while serving in our country’s ARMED FORCES!

It typically marks, the start of SUMMER VACATION SEASON. It is nice to know that some organizations put on programs to pay tribute to these brave souls. Many people visit cemeteries and memorials, and many volunteers place the AMERICAN FLAGS on each grave in NATIONAL CEMEMTERIES.

Every day we turn on our televisions, read newspapers or hear on the radio, some sort of tragedy going on in the world. I need to tell myself every day, THAT I BELIEVE THERE IS GOOD IN THE WORLD! I like to believe that the best things in life are the PEOPLE we LOVE…the PLACES we have been…and the MEMORIES we make along the way! We cannot give up on HUMANITY!

In my final thoughts today on MEMORIAL DAY—I would say to all those BRAVE SOULS—“YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE, BUT IF YOU DO IT RIGHT, ONCE IS ALL YOU NEED!” These people gave up their lives for us—so make your life WORTHWHILE and count your BLESSINGS!
