Frozen Chocolate Covered Banana Rounds
Ingredients
- 3-4 large firm, not overly ripe bananas
- 8 oz. dark chocolate
- 2 T. coconut oil or any neutral tasting oil or grated paraffin wax
- Candy sprinkles, coconut, chopped nuts, etc. for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Slice banana into bite size pieces.
- Place chocolate and oil in microwave safe dish.
- Cook for 1 ½ minutes, stirring halfway.
- Remove from microwave and stir until chocolate is smooth.
- Drop a few banana slices into the melted chocolate.
- Using fondue or regular forks, gently roll the banana rounds in the chocolate.
- Lift out and let excess drip off.
- Transfer to baking sheet lined with waxed or parchment paper.
- Place baking sheet in freezer and let set.
- Transfer to airtight container and keep in freezer.
Notes
*****If you want to garnish, when you place the rounds on the baking sheet, sprinkle the garnish you selected on top before placing in freezer.
