Frozen Beergaritas
Ingredients
- ¾ c. silver tequila
- ½ c. fresh lime juice (5-6 limes), plus extra for wedges to garnish
- ½ c. fresh orange juice
- ⅓ c. sugar
- Kosher salt
- 2 (12-oz.) Mexican pilsner, well chilled
Instructions
- Stir together the tequila, lime juice, orange juice and sugar until it dissolves.
- Pour mixture into shallow dish and freeze until hard, about 6 hours.
- Scrape the mixture with a fork to break into small ice crystals.
- Spread 2 T. of salt on a small plate.
- Moisten the rims of 4 large martini or margarita glasses with a lime wedge and invert into the salt.
- Distribute the frozen mix among the glasses and then top off each with ½ of a beer.
- Garnish with lime wedge and serve.
