Good Morning Foodies!
Time to pull out my “SOAP BOX”, again—here is a holiday that is approaching, which means another opportunity to gather with FRIENDS AND FAMILY! We should never let these special times pass us by. Yes, it takes a little effort to find a costume or mask, make a dish, give up your favorite TV show or just the excuse—I don’t want to go their house or don’t want them here at my house. Suck it up and enjoy the moment—it may not pass again! I just want them to know my BROOMSTICK RUNS ON WINE!
The LOVE OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS IS LIFE’S GREATEST BLESSING! We should all remember that HAPPINESS IS NOT SOME DESTINATION THAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE DOWN THE ROAD BUT IT SHOULD BE YOUR WAY OF LIFE EVERYDAY!

I find as I age, certain things become very clear in my life and those things that I thought were so important and clear become blurred. I try not to get weird about getting older. A very smart friend once told me, “Most of the SHADOW of this LIFE are caused by our STANDING in our own SUNSHINE!” I figure, my age is merely a number, which reflects the number of years people in my circle, get to enjoy me! I FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHAT I WANT TO BE WHEN I GET OLDER, YOUNGER BUT WITH THE WISDOM I HAVE NOW!

In the END, we only regret the CHANCES WE DIDN’T TAKE, RELATIONSHIPS we were AFRAID TO HAVE, and the DECISIONS we WAITED TOO LONG TO MAKE!

Have a most wonderful, productive and spooky HALLOWEEN AND WEEKEND! AND FOR GOODNESS SAKE, DON’T FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK ONE HOUR! ALSO, IF YOU HAVE SOME DEAR DEPARTED SOULS—GO VISIT THEM-ALL SAINTS AND SOULS DAY!! YOU CAN ALWAYS TALK TO THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE THE BEST WHEN IT COMES TO LISTENING!

AT LEAST I CAN RELAX WITH THE TIGERS AND SAINTS BEING OFF!

THE WALKING LADIES OF ST. LANDRY PARISH (CATHY HEBERT, SUSIE GLOWACKI, CYNTHIA LORMAND and ALICE MORROW), will be receiving the LEADERS IN PHILANTHROPY AWARDS on Thursday, November 7th at the CAJUNDOME CONVENTION CENTER, beginning at 10:30 AM. We were so excited and very blessed to receive this honor. We well know it is not possible without the support of our community. This award is just as much yours as ours. This is a joint community effort! THANK YOU-COMMUNITY for your all you do!
