Delicious Rotisserie Chicken Sliders
Ingredients
- 3 c. rotisserie chicken, shredded
- ⅓-1/2 c. homemade or store bought marinara sauce
- 6-8 mozzarella slices
- ¼ c. chopped basil
- ½ c. melted butter
- 3 T. minced garlic
- 2 T. chopped basil
- 3 T. grated parmesan cheese
- 1 package (12-roll) bread*
Instructions
- Slice the 12 roll bread in half so that you have a top and bottom.
- Place the bottom half on a baking sheet.
- Mix together the chicken and marinara sauce.
- Spoon this mixture over the bread.
- Lay the mozzarella slices across the chicken.
- Sprinkle with ¼ c. basil.
- Place the top layer of bread on top.
- In a bowl, mix together the garlic, basil, parmesan cheese and the melted butter.
- Spoon this mixture over the top layer of bread.
- Bake in 350 oven for 20 minutes.
- Cut into 12 sliders.
Notes
*****I used The Original King’s Hawaiian Sweet Jalapeno Rolls. These rolls are a little smaller in size. You might have to adjust the ingredients that you layer. I found if you chop the chicken and add too much sauce, the sliders will become mushy. Shredded chicken holds up more. Gradually add the sauce. The first time, I added too much sauce and that also added to it being mushy. Add just enough sauce to add flavor.
