CHANGING TIMES!

Good Morning Foodies! When I looked at my schedule, that I was to follow while away for the birth of GRAND PEEP NUMBER “9”, I realized that TIMES ARE DIFFERENT TODAY IN THE FAMILY STRUCTURE.…
I can remember when I gave birth to my children, I usually went and spent 1-2 weeks with my MOTHER! NOTHING BEATS HAVING YOUR MOTHER TAKE CARE OF YOU! Today, the new families like to keep together and work as a unit. I must say I am in awe of that.
Back in my day, the HUBBY, really did not participate in the daily activities of the new-born baby. Yes, maybe they ran to the drug store, or picked up extra groceries, etc. There was nothing wrong with that. Just the way it was!
Today, the HUBBY, is pretty much hands on for everything. I think that is good. I see them bathe, feed, rock, read stories, dress them, take them for walks, drive them to school—you name it, they step right up. I LIKE THAT!
When the family works together in that unit, they really didn’t need me to stay as long as I thought I would. I basically just cooked and cleaned. I know they appreciated my help and I loved being there but I think this new way is a nice way for families to experience all the ins and outs of raising children! You know what they say, “YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE, BUT IF YOU DO IT RIGHT WITH ALL YOUR LOVE AND MIGHT, ONCE IS ALL YOU NEED!”
SO MY ONLY GOAL THESES DAYS IS TO SPOIL ALL THOSE GRAND PEEPS—I THINK I CAN DO THAT AND I ENJOY DOING THAT!
