Card Party at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in Opelousas, LA yesterday! Great day of fun!

OUR QUEEN OF ANGELS CHURCH
ANNUAL CARD PARTY

This is my first year as a member of the SENIOR ANGELS. This organization of ladies sponsors monthly activities to educate and entertain people in the community through our church, QUEEN OF ANGELS, here in Opelousas, LA.
Yesterday was the yearly CARD DAY. It is held in the church hall. There were close to 100 ladies who showed up to play their favorite card games. The SENIOR ANGELS provided a fantastic lunch along with great beverages for their day of entertainment.
During the hours of 10-2 pm, the card players also have chances to get door prizes. Also, during the afternoon, one of the lucky ladies gets to be the “QUEEN” of the event and another name is pulled for the next year’s event. LO and BEHOLD! This year there was one gentleman playing cards and his name got pulled to be “KING” for next year. It was quite funny!
I feel very blessed to be able to be a part of this group of SENIOR ANGELS. They are so talented, engaging, entertaining, and the most giving group of women I have ever been around. They have earned their “HALOS”!
Some of the husbands were there to lend a hand for some of the heavy lifting that is required. My hats off to them!
Last but not least, MONSIGNOR KEITH, is so gracious in giving of his time and energy to this event. He is right there in the kitchen helping with the meal. He is truly a GOD SEND!
