Breakfast Brunch Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 lb. pork or turkey sausage
- 10 slices whole wheat bread, cubed
- 2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 2 c. whole milk
- 1 t. dry mustard
- 1 t. Worcestershire sauce
- Salt, black pepper
- Paprika
Instructions
- Cook sausage in skillet, stirring until it crumbles and no longer pink. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Spray a 13x9” baking dish with PAM.
- Place the sausage on the bottom of baking dish.
- Top with bread cubes and then cheese.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, dry mustard, Worcestershire and add salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour mixture over the sausage/bread/cheese.
- Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
- Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before baking.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes.
- Remove foil and cook another 10 minutes until casserole is set.
