I also want to give y…ou information on the upcoming 32nd Annual Original Southwest Louisiana Zydeco Music Festival. It is this Saturday, August 30th in Plaisance, LA which kicks off at NOON. The festivities kick off with the ZYDECO BREAKFAST ON THE COURTHOUSE SQUARE IN OPELOUSAS which is from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. There is a free concert featuring CURLEY TAYLOR AND ZYDECO TROUBLE! Visitors can enjoy meals, snacks and beverages from businesses that face the square, as well as treats from street vendors. The COURTHOUSE BUISNESSES are JAVA SQUARE, BACK IN TIME, THE PALACE CAFÉ, DAIRY QUEEN AND THE BRASS RAIL. There will be a wavy slide fun jump for the kids or you can dance away. Feel free to bring your lawn chairs. I have been so busy getting ready for all this that I really have nothing to say today. I only need to give myself a pep-talk on GAME DAY!
“IN THE MORNING-HAVE COFFEE IN HAND, HAVE MY BIG GIRL PANTIES PULLED UP, A SPARKLE IN MY EYE, A SMILE ON MY FACE—THEN AS THE SUN GOES DOWN—LOVE THE WINE YOU’RE WITH—YEP, I’M READY FOR THE DAY—BRING IT ON!”
The most important thing for me to remember in those big stadium is that WHEN I RAISE TWO FINGERS IN THE AIR—IT USUALLY MEANS “PEACE”—NOT BRING ME A DOUBLE!
The kitchen will be closed for LABOR DAY! I will be back on Tuesday, September 2th. I will just post “REPEAT MENUS”. I think most of you might have an extended holiday, but hopefully you will still check in on the site.
