Ingredients
  • ½ (17 ¼-oz.) pkg. frozen puff pastry sheets
  • 1 c. finely chopped pecans, divided
  • 2 (7-oz.) rounds of Gouda cheese, rinds removed
Instructions
  1. Thaw 1 sheet of pastry following package instructions.
  2. Cut sheet in half and roll each half on lightly floured surface to 9” square.
  3. Sprinkle ¼ c. pecans in center of pastry.
  4. Place cheese rounds over pecans and sprinkle ¼ c. pecans over the cheese rounds.
  5. Bring corners of each pastry square to center of each cheese, folding pastry to fit Gouda round.
  6. Twist top to completely enclose cheese.
  7. Place rounds on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 400 for 25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Transfer to serving plate and serve immediately.
Notes
*****Can be assembled in advance. Cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours prior to baking. You can change up the nut selection.
