Baked Gouda Puff Pastry
Ingredients
- ½ (17 ¼-oz.) pkg. frozen puff pastry sheets
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans, divided
- 2 (7-oz.) rounds of Gouda cheese, rinds removed
Instructions
- Thaw 1 sheet of pastry following package instructions.
- Cut sheet in half and roll each half on lightly floured surface to 9” square.
- Sprinkle ¼ c. pecans in center of pastry.
- Place cheese rounds over pecans and sprinkle ¼ c. pecans over the cheese rounds.
- Bring corners of each pastry square to center of each cheese, folding pastry to fit Gouda round.
- Twist top to completely enclose cheese.
- Place rounds on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 400 for 25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
- Transfer to serving plate and serve immediately.
