Cheesy Pumpkin Delights
Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz.) package or can of jumbo buttermilk dough (8)
- 1 T. butter, melted
- 1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 small jar diced pimento, drained
Instructions
- Preheat oven 350. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit using 3” pumpkin shaped cookie cutter. Discard scraps. Flatten dough to fit cookie cutter, if necessary.
- Place biscuits on baking sheet sprayed with PAM.
- Lightly score tops of biscuits with paring knife to resemble lines on pumpkins.
- Brush with butter.
- Bake 9 minutes.
- Combine cheese, green onions and pimento in a bowl.
- Split partially baked biscuits horizontally into halves. Biscuits do not need to be fully separated.
- Spread about 1 T. of cheese mixture on bottom half of each biscuit.
- Replace biscuit top.
- Bake another 6-8 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
Notes
*****You can change up the cheese types and what you add to it like jalapenos, diced bell peppers, red onion, chopped bacon, etc.
