Ingredients
  • 1 (16-oz.) container of chopped onion mix
  • 2 lbs. lean ground meat
  • 1 head of cabbage, chopped up
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can of cream of celery soup
  • 2 c. of cooked black-eyed peas (can be canned, frozen or cooked dried peas)
  • 4-6 c. cooked rice
  • 1 c. grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese or your favorite cheese
  • Salt, red/black pepper, garlic powder
  • PAM
Instructions
  1. Heat a large pot, and add meat and break up into crumble form and add onion mixture. Cook until meat is done. Drain off any excess oil.
  2. Add the soups and peas. Mix well. Season to taste.
  3. Stir in cabbage. Mix well.
  4. Stir in parmesan cheese. Mix well.
  5. Add cooked rice and mix well. Simmer over low heat. Stir occasionally and taste for seasoning, until well blended.
  6. Place in baking dish sprayed with PAM. Top with the shredded cheese.
  7. Bake at 350 until hot and bubbly.
