Minty Chocolate Sorbet  

Today’s Menu is also another great one for that MOTHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION!
Here comes that big holiday-MOTHER’S DAY! You do not have to give birth to be honored as a MOTHER! There are people who are AUNTS, NIECES, COUSINS, GRANDPARENTS and even MALES that take on the role of being a MOTHER-FIGURE HEAD!

One thing for sure, when you lose your MOTHER, all of a sudden, you seem to remember everything she said or tried to instill in you. A day does not go by, that I do not think of my MOTHER. Something, as little as a smell from the kitchen, a sound of shuffling feet, looking at a rocking chair can bring all those memories roaring back. I know there are people who may not have such good memories, but I hope for them that there is someone, somewhere that can fill that role. We all deserve someone to look up to. Just remember, that you can be that person for someone in your family or community who needs a mentor.

MOTHERHOOD is a choice you make every day to put someone else’s happiness and well-being ahead of your own. MOTHERS teach hard lessons about doing the right thing.

No matter where she is-in HEAVEN or here on EARTH, there is nothing like a MOTHER’S LOVE.
One thing I can remember my GRANDMOTHER, then my MOTHER, saying to me: “DON’T TRY SO HARD TO FIT IN-WHEN YOU WERE BORN TO STAND OUT!”

I am always a little sad when I think I don’t have my MOMMA with me on this holiday and any other day, but I know her spirit and love are always with me.

If I turn into my MOTHER, or even half the WOMAN she was, I will consider my LIFE a SUCCESSFUL ONE!
Embrace your MOMMA if she is still with you—You will always remember these most precious days when they are long gone!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

I want to take this time to wish my first-born, CRAIG a most wonderful happy birthday! He is turning the BIG “58” on Saturday, May 9th! GEEZZZ, it seems like I just celebrated that birthday, but time does whiz by!
So proud of the man he has become! He has the most beautiful and talented wife, NICOLE and the most amazing four DAUGHTERS-COURTNEY, TYLER, SAVANNAH AND BLAIR! He now has an added SON-IN-LAW, JEFFREY! He gets a big “STAR” for dealing with that many women in his daily life.

I am really proud in his efforts and time he gives back to those who need help! That counts for so much in life today! Craig, we wish you many more successful and blessed birthdays! Love you so much!
