WRAPPING UP AND PUTTING A BOW ON IT!

Good Morning Foodies! IN ONE WEEK FROM TODAY IT WILL BE CHRISTMAS EVE! I hope you have been able to get your shopping, prepping, cooking, etc. done according to your schedule. No two people approach holidays the same and that is okay. As long as the job gets done—you get a star!
I always like to reflect when this time of year comes along. I usually look at NEW YEAR’S as focusing on the future, but only of what I can control! We all know that predicting the future is not a talent in our hands!
I find as I age, things shift in value and importance. I do know that my CHRISTMAS LIST for myself gets shorter and the things that I really want, CAN’T BE BOUGHT!
Growing up, I remember a plaque that I would see, but only as I got older, did I read it with more understanding. It goes like this:
THE SIX ETHICS OF LIFE:
Before you PRAY-BELIEVE!
Before you SPEAK-LISTEN!
Before you SPEND-EARN!
Before you WRITE-THINK!
Before you QUIT-TRY!
Before you DIE-LIVE!
Most importantly we should all remember these thoughts:
If the HOUSE isn’t CLEAN, it is still CHRISTMAS,
If DESSERTS aren’t MADE, it is still CHRISTMAS,
If there are no DECORATIONS, it is still CHRISTMAS,
If the GIFTS aren’t PURCHASED, it is still CHRISTMAS,
But if it is not about CHRIST, it is not CHRISTMAS!
My Christmas wish for all you FOODIES is that you are surrounded by family and friends and always count your BLESSINGS! Remember to reach out to those who may be alone or unable to get around. This is what will be the best gift you can give and receive!
