Good Morning Foodies!

ARE YOU READY—-ONE WEEK FROM TODAY IS THANKSGIVING! I do know how blessed I am when it comes to gathering around the table for holidays. I am surrounded by the most wonderful people. I know there are many people out there that struggle on these days and probably every day. It is hard to see young children suffer from hunger, lack of a home or family life. I pray for them every day.
We all know that there is no perfect setting when it comes to life in general. I try to focus on the good in everyone. I know there are no PERFECT PARENTS, no PERFECT CHILDREN, and no PERFECT FAMILY OR FRIENDS! The one thing I do know, is that when I am with these wonderful people, I will have PLENTY OF PERFECT MOMENTS AND MEMORIES to cherish!
I also try to remember when I step up on my box to make a statement of what I am thinking, I take pause! We must all try to remember, “YOUR BELIEFS don’t make you a BETTER PERSON, YOUR BEHAVIOR does!”

Taking time today to wish GABRIELLE, the CABOOSE of GRAND PEEPS a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Her dimples are so intense that her smile melts you from miles away! What a great gift you are to GRAMMIE AND POPPA! Love you so much!

Also want to acknowledge my PEEP, CELESTE. She has been on this mission and works with the group called “SMASHING THE STIGMA”! This is an organization that helps individuals facing EATING DISORDERS. The ALLIANCE FOR EATING DISORDERSS AWARENESS AND SOUTHERN SMASH are hosting their annual event in New Orleans, tonight! HUBBY and I will be attending the event. PEEP CELESTE has done great work in this organization. So proud of her and get to witness her being recognized! Keep up the grand work, CELESTE—every life is so worth saving!

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for UNVEILING OF NATIVITY AND LIGHTING OF OAKS AT THE ST. LANDRY COURTHOUSE SQUARE! SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30TH 3:30-6:30PM! There will be choir singing, face-painting, petting zoo, pics with Santa, vendors and many more happenings. A most wonderful way to kick off the Christmas Holiday Spirit and support the Community. Grab your family and friends and come join the fun. We realize that LSU is playing TEXAS A&M at home starting at 6 PM, so come early and get to enjoy all events happening this day! Your support is greatly appreciated! The WALKING LADIES will be waiting for you! Hope to see you there!
