Warm and Crispy Turkey, Brie and Apple Sandwich
Ingredients
- 4 slices rye bread or your favorite
- 2 T. soft butter
- 2 T. apple butter
- ½ lb. thinly sliced roasted turkey breasts
- 6 oz. brie cheese, thinly sliced
- 1 c. baby arugula or spinach
- 1 apple, sliced (selection depends if you would like a tart or sweet apple, both work)
Instructions
- Spread 1 side of each bread slice with ½ T. butter and the other side of 2 bread slices with ½ T. apple butter.
- Top each with half the turkey, brie and arugula, then a few apple slices.
- Spread the bare sides of remaining 2 slices of bread with remaining apple butter, then place on sandwiches, buttered side up.
- Put 1 sandwich in a medium frying pan or skillet and cook, covered over medium heat until golden brown on bottom.
- Turn sandwich over and continue cooking until cheese is slightly melted and a second side is golden.
- Repeat with remaining sandwich.
- Serve sandwich with remaining apple slices.
Notes
*****You can change up cheese selections and can use pears instead of apples.
