Alicia's Easter Bonnet Cake
Ingredients
- 1 box of your favorite cake mix
- 1-2 cans chocolate icing
- Kit-Kat candy bars
- Easter Colored M&M’s
- Ribbon
Instructions
- Prepare cake mix following directions on box. Make 2 layers.
- Let cake cool.
- Place one layer of cake on serving platter that is wider than cake.
- Ice the face up layer of cake with icing. If you want to add chopped pecans or coconuts to this layer, just sprinkle after you put icing.
- Place second layer on top.
- Ice sides and top of cake with chocolate icing.
- Press the Kit-Kat bars around the cake. They will adhere to icing. Be sure to do this before icing sets.
- Sprinkle the M&M’s on top.
- Tie a pretty ribbon around the cake.

*****You can change up the cake mix, icings and decorations to fix various holidays and events. My niece, Alicia Laporte, made this cake for Easter last year. A grand hit!
