Good Morning Foodies! Had a very nice time in New Orleans these past 4 days. It was a wonderful time to share with our son and his lovely wife. A huge accomplishment in his legal career. HUBBY and I are so proud of him. He is a great SON, BROTHER, HUSBAND, FATHER AND FRIEND—cannot ask for more than that.

I always love going to THE BIG EASY! You know that the NO Jazz Fest will be coming up in a few weeks. If you are not a fan of that I strongly encourage you to do the FRENCH QUARTER JAZZ FEST. It is held on the weekend of April 9th-12th. Google for the info! HUBBY and I ran across this event by accident. It is truly amazing. The QUARTER is full of locals performing down streets and on the corners. In the actual SQUARE, most of the renowned RESTAURANTS like EMERIL’S, GALATOIRE’S, ANTOINE’S, MURIEL’S, ETC. set up tents and you just walk up and pay to sample what food items they are serving. The best saying I saw for this was—“NO JACKET REQUIRED”! What is really nice, you walk, stop at any bar, hotel, restaurant or just sit in the SQUARE! If you are lucky and the weather is perfect—IT IS THE PERFECT WAY TO SEE NEW ORLEANS! It is my all-time favorite time in THE BIG EASY!

If you want to stay closer to home there is the great FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL here in Lafayette, LA at the end of April. People love this festival. As you can see from my title, this is going to be a short week with a long span in between. This is the last week I will post until Tuesday, April 7th. Kitchen Blog will be closed for the EASTER HOLIDAYS!

Today and tomorrow will feature some great ideas for EASTER! I hope you enjoy them. Have a great day!
