Good Morning Foodies!
Here it comes, ready or not! This is the biggest weekend for MARDI GRAS CELEBRATIONS. Only in Louisiana, can you experience the extremes of this glorious holiday. Everything from chasing those chickens for the community gumbo to the grand ballroom filled with beautiful carnival gowns and tuxedos! What an experience!
I once read to sum up the true meaning of MARDI GRAS—goes like this!
“MARDI GRAS IS THE LOVE OF LIFE. IT IS THE HARMONIC CONVERGENCE OF OUR FOOD, OUR MUSIC, OUR CREATIVITY, OUR ECCENTRICITY, OUR NEIGHBORHOODS AND OUR JOY OF LIVING—AND OF COURSE, DONE ALL AT ONCE!” Yep, that pretty much sums up this great adventure!
Get out there, yell to the top of your voice, “HEY MISTER, THROW ME SOMETHING!” Grab those beads and other trinkets!
