LOVE THOSE FATHERS!

Good Morning Foodies! My DADDY passed away in 2010—you hope the hole in your heart fills up with happy memories—they do, but a little twinge always occurs. I guess it is always a double whammy for me—my DAD’S BIRTHDAY and FATHER’S DAY ARE ALWAYS BACK TO BACK! I really try to focus on the positive but when I look around me and see those GRAND PEEPS-I think how much my DAD would have loved seeing these kids grow. I always try to remember, “IF YOU LOVE THE LIFE YOU LIVE, YOU WILL LIVE A LIFE OF LOVE!”

I read the other day this story and this saying made me feel a little better, “DEATH leaves a VOID nobody can HEAL, but LOVE leaves a MEMORY no one can STEAL!” I like that!
I have been very blessed in my life to be surrounded by MEN who have been FANTASTIC FATHER ROLE MODELS—MY DAD, MY FATHER-IN-LAW, MY HUSBAND, MY SON, MY SON-IN-LAWS AND ALL THE FATHERS THAT ARE MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS.

How would you define a FANTASTIC FATHER?
I believe a FATHER should be kindhearted; one who loves, supports, guides, inspires and encourages his children; he is one who is of strong character and teaches by example; one who is patient, kind and understanding; and one who is emulated, admired and greatly loved by his children!
