Last night’s SOIREE ROYALE was just lovely!

Last night’s SOIREE ROYALE was just lovely! Once again the ST. LANDRY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE pulled off a most successful event. I have had the pleasure of judging the SOIREE for several years. Trust me it is not an easy task. Every dish is truly fabulous, extremely creative and over the top in presentation. I wish I could give everyone a “NUMBER 1 VOTE!”

Judging was difficult as usual. I am astounded by the creativity that surrounds those dishes presented for us to judge. I think the thing I like most about the chefs is their positive attitudes. It is almost as if they are saying, “WHETHER I THINK I CAN OR THINK I CAN’T—I AM RIGHT—JUST AS LONG AS I KEEP ON STRIVING FOR THAT GOAL”!
A GREAT LIFE ISN’T ABOUT HUGE THINGS….IT’S ABOUT THE SMALL THINGS THAT MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE!
BRAVO TO ALL THE PARTICIPATING CHEFS AND TO THE COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING THIS EVENT AND TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR PULLING THIS ALL TOGETHER—YOU WERE ALL WINNERS IN MY BOOK!

Again, I also want to thank all the lovely ladies, who made us “JUDGES” feel so special. Our judging area was the best ever. Everything was so organized and set up to perfection to handle that extremely hard job of ours in judging. Great job done by some very dedicated ladies! Thanks for including me again this year. It is always an honor and pleasure.

So great to see the community come together and support a most necessary cause! Thanks to all who competed-YOU ARE ALL WINNERS! A round of applause to all those who worked so hard to put on this most worthy event for our CITY AND PARISH!
