HEAVY HEART!

Good Morning Foodies!

I know today is Friday and typically I do not post but my heart is so heavy today. Our lovely little town of Opelousas, lost a standing icon. The OLD GOVERNOR’S MANSION in Opelousas was the oldest remaining governor’s mansion in LOUISIANA. It was a great loss for our city and state. Arson is suspected! WHO DOES THIS?????????????????
I am watching the news about the horrific terrorist attack in NICE, FRANCE. Here at home, in the USA, we are still trying to piece back our nation back after all the unrest here. I just don’t know what to think any more.

I know many of you, like me, are having some serious discussions with GOD! We all ask, “WHY?” I don’t know what to say or do, all I can do is pray.

We all see that road called “LIFE”. We are always told to take the GOOD with the BAD, SMILE with the SAD, LOVE what you got, and REMEMBER what you had. We should always FORGIVE, but never FORGET. People change and things go wrong! Sometimes all you can do is SMILE, move on with your day, hold back your TEARS and PRAY!
The one thing I do know for sure is that in a blink of an eye, EVERYTHING CAN CHANGE! I am trying very hard to learn to forgive and love but every day I have to press that “RESET BUTTON”.

The bottom line for me is, “I can always pray for someone when I don’t have the strength to help them in any other way!”
