FINAL RESOLUTION!
Good Morning Foodies! Here we are into the season of MARDI GRAS, KING CAKES, PARADES, PARTIES—MORE FOOD AND DRINKS! As humans, I don’t think we did a very good job of spreading out HOLIDAYS! I just try to keep moving—and moving forward! Like I told HUBBY—“THE HANDLE ON THE RECLINER DOES NOT QUALIFY AS AN EXERCISE MACHINE!”
I found a piece of paper in my dad’s old desk in his work shop a few years ago and I try to use it as my NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION! It goes like this:
“PEACE. IT DOES NOT MEAN TO BE IN A PLACE WHERE THERE IS NO NOISE, TROUBLE, OR HARD WORK—IT MEANS TO BE IN THE MIDST OF THOSE THINGS AND STILL BE CALM IN YOUR HEART!” I think I like striving for that rather than fitting into “SKINNY JEANS”!!!! Finally, I would like to send “GOOD WISHES” to my friend and neighbor, Ms. Carla Schultz. Carla recently lost her husband and has made it her mission to run a HALF MARATHON, this coming weekend, to honor him. My hats off to her—I am so proud of her! This event is done through the DISNEY group. Her husband’s name was Donald and the race is so appropriately names after the Disney character, Donald Duck! I just wanted her to know that we are all pulling for her, her daughter, Meghan and her trainer, Cindy Gates. NO MATTER THE OUTCOME—A GREAT VICTORY!!! Just spread your wings, my friend, and fly! You will see the adrenaline pull you through! Best of luck—YOU HAVE DONE GOOD, MY FRIEND!
Have a great weekend and be safe! P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WONDERFUL MOTHER! HOPE PARTIES IN HEAVEN ARE AS GRAND AS THE ONES YOU HAD HERE!
