Good Morning Foodies!

Today’s Menu:

Cheesy Almond Pineapple Spread
Oven-Roasted Quail
Roasted Baby Yukons with Corn, Mushrooms, Onions and Bacon
Delicious Squash Gratin
Caramel Drizzle over Pumpkin Cheesecake

I am hearing today that we need to batten down the hatches—some serious weather trying to cross the state and hopefully bring in some nice cooler weather! I would just like this weather to wipe out the “MOSQUITOES”! Seriously, I don’t recall these pesty critters being this bad at this time of the year! They are on “Steroids” I think!

As you can see today’s menu, takes on a different bird! Quail is a fantastic bird to serve on this holiday. When HUBBY and I are just a twosome, we love to have quail or Cornish hens or ducks. I feel like I am still getting the old THANKSGIVING BIRD-just a smaller version. HUBBY and I like to gather in the kitchen and cook together for these quite holidays. A nice fire, a little holiday music, some great wine and those comfy stretch pants!
It is these days that I say, “DEAR GOD, I want to take a minute NOT TO ASK for anything FROM YOU, but simply THANK YOU, FOR ALL I HAVE!”
