AHHH!!!! NOW I CAN RELAX AND REMINISCE!!!!

Good Morning Foodies! Well, I had my gathering with my PEEPS AND GRAND PEEPS over the weekend. Even though the weather was not so great, it sort of brought us all together like “LIKE FLEAS ON A TICK! WHITE ON RICE! THICK AS THIEVES! SNUG AS A BUG IN A RUG!”—I think you get my drift. It is really wonderful watching Christmas through the eyes of a child! Santa made a stop by the Lodge and checked to see if we were all good! Now, everyone has gone home and it is just me and HUBBY! When this plan first started, I didn’t think I would like it but it has grown on me. Come Christmas morning, we get up have our coffee, go to mass and then relax. Later that day, we go to my son and wife’s home for Christmas dinner. It makes for a great and relaxing day. Yes, I do miss all the little patter of feet but the older I get I think I like the calm after the storm! So, as you can sees there are only 2 more shopping days until Christmas. You know what, if you can’t find what you are looking for, don’t sweat it—ENJOY THE PEOPLE YOU ARE WITH! The laughter, stories, food, and the love in that household should be enough of a gift!
