ADJUSTMENTS COME IN ALL SHAPES AND FORMS!

Good Morning Foodies!

This weird storm has really hit areas of LOUISIANA very hard. I am in awe of how all the citizens of the devastated areas have stepped up to help their fellow man. I saw that my PEEPS, GRAND PEEPS and some other RELATIVES, stepped up and helped their communities as best they could. Made me so very proud of them.

I went over to the CIVIC CENTER in OPELOUSAS to make some deliveries and was in awe at all the people helping out. A little tear in the eye moment. I had heard that some young babies had arrived. I tried to help as best I could and bring some of the baby things I have here because of my GRAND PEEPS. I figured I can always go and replace what I need but they needed this NOW!!!!!!!!! I truly believe this HISTORICAL WEATHER EVENT has kicked in the old saying about “YOU HAVE 3 CHOICES IN LIFE—GIVE UP, GIVE IN OR GIVE IT ALL YOU GOT!”

By now, I am sure we all thought, we would be back to a normal schedule, at all levels of ACADEMICS, from PRE-SCHOOL TO COLLEGE, and maybe beyond that, but MOTHER NATURE had other plans! All you FOODIES, who are my age and older, know all too well the transitions that occur along the ROAD OF EDUCATION!

It seems just like yesterday when my oldest daughter, was sending her first child off to PRE-SCHOOL. I don’t know who cried more the MOTHER or the CHILD. Now, that she has two going off to school, I don’t think she will shed as many tears. We all know how that works!
The emotions that go along with school and its activities are like a roller-coaster ride.

A few weeks ago, I got a picture and a text from my son showing his oldest daughter and my oldest GRAND PEEP going off to college. He said, “WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME IT HOW HARD IT IS TO WATCH YOUR FIRST CHILD MOVE AWAY TO COLLEGE!” I think we all know that sometimes events that happen just can’t be described. You actually have to feel it with your heart and soul.

The famous words of DR. SEUSS, “SOMETIMES YOU WILL NEVER KNOW THE VALUE OF A MOMENT UNTIL IT BECOMES A MEMORY!”
Bottom line here, FOODIES, we all have to learn to take the good with the bad and hopefully, we try to FORGET what HURT us in the PAST, but NEVER FORGET what it has TAUGHT us.

Have a safe and productive weekend!
