Today is my DAD’S BIRTHDAY! He would have been “99”! He never complained about whatever his age was. He always thought he would live to be 100! He had the best outlook on life! Always a smile on his face and a heart that was so big! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR SWEET DADDY!

When I look at the recipes for PEACHES at this time of year, I always think of two people—MY DAD, of course—he loved those PEACHES FROM RUSTON. The other person was my dear sweet friend, STEPHEN SEBASTIEN—he always brought me those RUSTON PEACHES! The absence of these two wonderful souls, makes me think of them every time those RUSTON PEACHES start rolling in. Miss those beautiful smiles they always had on their faces!

Heads up FOODIES! This coming weekend is FATHER’S DAY! Today’s menu is a great one for that special guy to cook on the grill outside. You know they need to feel that power. Face it, the WOMAN buys the FOOD, makes the SALAD, prepares the VEGGIES, and makes the DESSERT. The WOMAN prepares the MEAT for cooking, places it on a tray, prepares the PLATES, SALAD, BREAD, UTENSILS, NAPKINS, SAUCES, BEVERAGES and brings them to the TABLE. The MAN places the MEAT on the GRILL and everyone praises the MAN and thanks HIM for all his COOKING EFFORTS! You know the words from the famous kid movie, “FROZEN”—LET IT GEAUX!
In closing today, my prayers are with those families who suffered horrific losses this weekend in Orlando, FL. We must all remember that HATRED IS TAUGHT! You are not born to discriminate, form prejudices or be intolerant. We all need to work harder toward a better humanity!
