REPEAT WEDNESDAY AND GADGET DAY!

Good Morning Foodies!

Today’s Repeat Menu:

Homemade Salisbury Steak
Creole Lima Beans
Lemony Couscous Salad with Asparagus and Cherry Tomatoes
Refreshing Watermelon Cake

Today’s gadget from E’S KITCHEN in LAFAYETTE, LA is the CORN SHUCKER!

This handy CORN SHUCKER easily and cleanly removes kernels from the fresh, frozen (once thawed), or cooked corn on the cob. The enclosed ABS plastic container catches the kernels and keeps mess to a minimum. Two soft-grip, yellow handles let you securely hold the corn. The blade is made of 18/8 stainless steel. The cutting tube is much safer than using a knife. You will be able to quickly prepare nutritious and delicious chowders, soups or side dishes. Just pop in the dishwasher when you are done! I don’t know about you but if I have to clean 3-6 cobs, I can suffer through it without this gadget but with all that fresh corn coming in—BY THE SACKS—I want this gadget by my side.

Today, when I look at the menu and see Salisbury steak, I think back to last week’s menu of the meatloaf. As a kid, I knew when my mom made meatloaf that Salisbury steak was not far behind. Like I said, meatloaf, Salisbury steak, meatballs—ALL THE SAME CHURCH, JUST A DIFFERENT PEW!
The side dishes are great ways to use up some of those fresh veggies from the gardens or FARMER’S MARKETS!
Have a great day!
