BRUNCH ANYONE!
Today’s Menu:
Heavenly Ham and Cheese Quiche
Rolled Up French Toast
Easy Oyster Soup
Cynthia’s Homemade Date Loaf
Spicy Cranberry Cocktail
I also realize I have to keep my “STRETCHY PANTS” on for another week to get through the NEW YEAR’S DAY FESTIVITES, not to mention all the BOWL GAMES! Need I mention, right around the corner is “KING CAKE” TEMPTATIONS! Oh well, that is the life here in SOUTHERN LOUISIANA!
Today, the menu posted is a nice assortment for a HOLIDAY BRUNCH! I always think that this sually add is some nice fresh fruit. There are usually plenty of leftover desserts from CHRISTMAS, so I don’t spend much time on preparing any more. Some of the gifts from friends, etc. are usually food items, that help fill up some voids on the table. That works really great for me!
One of my exercise buddies, CYNTHIA LORMAND, always makes her date loaf for us. I look forward to it each year. I am sorry to say, it usually does not make it to the guest tables for a filler. It has filled my belly quite nicely. It is so fabulous!
Okay, now down to business—-I am hoping my LSU TIGERS can save face and have a nice win! They need this badly! Having my BATON ROUGE FRIENDS in for a few days to help me cheer on the TIGERS!
GEAUX TIGERS!
Have a great day!
