October opens that great fantastic door of preparing foods that are just divine! Lots of lovely gravies and sauces; thick and hearty veggies; nice game; fantastic gumbos, soups, etc. I truly cannot get enough of these types of foods. From the beginning of spring, through the hot days of summer—everything is grilled, chilled and light! Okay, I get that—now I want bold, heavy and hot foods! So move over grilled zucchini and make room for those nice tasty YAMS and BUTTERNUT SQUASH (MY ALL TIME FAVORITE)!
A little note about the dessert! The name MUSTARD’S is a famous restaurant in NAPA. The owner/chef makes the most divine lemon-lime meringue pie. If you like this type of dessert, you will wallow in this pie!
