Good Morning Foodies! What a wild and crazy weekend in New Orleans. A beautiful wedding-OVER THE TOP IN EVERYTHING! The menus were written on a large block of edible chocolate. The decorations were stunning! FUN, FUN, FUN TIME! Now, back to normal again. I don’t know about you but it just seems the older I get the faster time flies by. Do I dare say that CHRISTMAS is 6 months away! Okay, gonna focus on getting through HURRICANE SEASON!

For the next couple of weeks the menus will reflect easy cooking to get away from the heat, something simple to free up your time, taking advantage of all those beautiful fruits and veggies in your gardens or at FARMER’S MARKETS, and scooping up those wonderful seafood delicacies from the GULF! Yes, we are so blessed here in the SOUTH with all the wonderful food items within our reach! Try to adventure out and try new foods and create wonderful and delicious recipes. You will amaze yourself! Whenever I have something new, I just look in the refrigerator and see what needs to be used up—grab it and add to the dish along with herbs and spices. It usually works pretty well.
