PRESENTING A NEW VERSION FOR THE OLE SANDWICH!

Good Morning Foodies! I hope all of you got to have some form of celebration this past Sunday for Mother’s Day! My hats off to all of you who have some influence on raising a child or children. This role is not limited to just females. I know many SINGLE DADS, AUNTS, GODPARENTS, GRANDPARENTS that take on that role because for some reason there is not a MOTHER in the picture. So pat yourself on the back for stepping up and taking on that responsibility.

In planning today’s menu, I was trying to step outside the box when thinking about making great sandwiches. I love sandwiches. I am always trying to find a new way to reinvent it. Here goes–these are BREADLESS SANDWICHES! Now, don’t get me wrong—I love bread but sometimes I just want to enjoy the essence of the sandwich without the bread being the center of attention. Now, don’t freak out because I am not posting any recipes. You can see the basics of the sandwiches and just add your own ingredients! I did not want to limit your selections. For example on the CUCUMBER/TUNA SALAD SANDWICH-you can use your own recipe for TUNA SALAD, EGG SALAD, CHICKEN SALAD OR A SEAFOOD SALAD. For the PORTABELLA STACK SANDWICH—you can add whatever ingredients between the mushroom slices such as the sliced meats (turkey, ham, roast beef, chicken) and all sorts of cheeses. Don’t forget the nice additions like assorted lettuces, tomatoes, slaws, relishes, peppers, etc. The SWEET POTATO BURGER is merely your favorite BURGER MIX (beef, chicken, turkey) placed between the sweet potato slices. Last but not least, the RICE CAKE, PB & J SANDWICHES can be supplied with your favorite jelly, jam, preserve and your selection of peanut butter. Let your imagination run wild! See what you think!

Have a great day!
