Good Morning Foodies! I must say this past weekend went from two extremes. The first was GRAND PEEP, AVA GRACE’S track meet. It was so much fun to yell, scream, jump up and down and just go crazy. A great adrenalin rush! Our little track star, AVA GRACE, is so intense and focused. She is truly amazing at the age of “12”. REMEMBER HER NAME! Then on the other spectrum, the eldest of the GRAND PEEPS, COURTNEY made her confirmation. A most moving, holy and solemn moment. The great SUNSHINE DAY made it all the more special. It is so nice to be able to witness all these goals and accomplishments of the GRAND PEEPS. I thank God every day for allowing me to be a witness to these precious moments in their lives. One word of advice I can share with them that I also shared with my PEEPS is: “YOUR TIME AS A CATERPILLAR WILL EXPIRE—YOUR WINGS ARE READY—ARE YOU?”
For the next couple of weeks, I will try and give you menus/recipes that you might be able to use for the upcoming events. This coming weekend is the first weekend of NO JAZZ FEST and the FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL IN LAFAYETTE. I know that there will be many other happenings like WEDDINGS, PROMS, SCHOOL BANQUETS AND GATHERINGS, but let us not forget those wonderful SECRETARIES! These individuals are the glue that keeps the sanity in the work place. I cannot tell you how great the staff is at MORROW, MORROW, RYAN AND BASSETT LAW FIRM. This staff is top-notch and always willing to help in any way they can. My HATS OFF TO THOSE MAGNIFICENT WORKERS! A special THANK-YOU to MEL, my PERSONAL ASSISTANT! I honestly could not get the GEAUXASKALICE BLOG to function without her help and knowledge. Even though you might not have a “SECRETARY” in your life—
