Today’s GADGET FROM E’S KITCHEN IN LAFAYETTE, LA is the JOSEPH JOSEPH STRETCH TRIVET.
Joseph Joseph has taken the trivet into the 21st century with this smart silicone expandable trivet. Most pot stands, or trivets, only provide enough space for standing a single hot pan or dish. Therefore, additional stands are required if serving food from a variety of hot containers. The unique design of the JOSEPH JOSEPH STRETCH TRIVET helps eliminate this. Its size can be easily adjusted to provide space for more than one pan, or even a single large casserole dish. After use, it folds neatly away for convenient storage. It is made from high-quality silicone-nylon composite. It is heat resistant up to 340 degrees C. It is also dishwasher safe. It is 20x5x1.5 cm when closed. It comes in BLACK, GREEN OR PINK!

Today’s menu is one that was created by cleaning out the refrigerator. I had all these extra chicken tenders left from the GRAND PEEPS being here for a weekend. I also had some leftover pasta/orzo. I thought this should be great together—-and it was. You can add other veggies, etc.
The apple cake is one that my mom always made in the winter time. Just the fabulous aroma from the baking cake made your mouth water. I can still visualize her baking this cake. One of my favorites.
