NEW TIME-NEW MONTH!
Good Morning Foodies!
Today’s Menu:
Creamy Chicken Liver Pate
Feta-Cranberry Pinwheels
Quick and Easy Seafood Pasta in a Skillet
Frances Falcon’s English Toffee
I sure do like it when we FALL BACK—can always use that extra hour to catch up or stand still and feel grounded.
Without me really mentioning what is about to happen, I know you all know how fast this month will go by and Christmas will be upon us! I try really hard to put the brakes on but when you walk in stores and see Christmas decorations, fruitcake and eggnog on the shelves—-REALLY HARD TO PUSH IT OUT OF YOUR MIND!
The next few weeks the menus will lean toward some ideas for the upcoming holidays. Let us try and enjoy THANKSGIVING before we give in to the “HEAUX, HEAUX, HEAUXS”!
If you are looking for a great HOLIDAY TREAT, prepare FRANCES FALCON’S ENGLISH TOFFEE. It is the best! She is a dear, dear friend of mine from Baton Rouge. A superb cook and entertainer! I always have her bring a batch of these delights when she comes to visit! You will love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In closing, my heavy heart, along with all the possible prayers I can muster up, I send to the SID ORTIS’S FAMILY. Sid is truly an amazing young man who touched so many in his short life. I don’t think any of us can even begin to imagine what it feels like to lose a child unless you have done it personally. I just want to pass on this passage to his parents, family and friends, “GRIEF NEVER ENDS…BUT IT CHANGES. IT’S A PASSAGE, NOT A PLACE TO STAY. GRIEF IS NOT A SIGN OF WEAKNESS, OR A LACK OF FAITH…IT IS THE PRICE OF LOVE! May GOD and all his ANGELS and SAINTS caress you in tenderness and help you through these times! SID ROCKS!!!!
Have a great day!
