WATCHING THE CLOCK!

Good Morning Foodies!

This coming weekend is the SPRING FORWARD ON ALL OUR CLOCKS! DAYLIGHT SAVINGS KICKS IN! Don’t know about you but not sure what is SAVED!
Do you ever stop and think how that little “TICK-TOCK” of the CLOCK really controls your life! As soon as that ALARM CLOCK goes off, it is already telling you that you are “LATE”! Ugh! Most times I feel I just had a fight with my alarm clock. It wanted to wake me up, I disagreed. Things got violent…..Now the alarm clock is broken and I am wide awake and not sure who won this battle!

We rely too much on the essence of the word “TIME” instead of enjoying the “MOMENT”! We are constantly attracted to the clock—by your bed, around your house, on your wrist, on your Iphone, in your car, at your office, sitting at the doctor’s,–the CLOCK is everywhere!

We are bombarded with terms like: “BEING ON TIME; BEING LATE; WASTE OF TIME; GETTING THERE BEFORE TIME; TIME TO EAT; TIME TO GET TO WORK; TIME TO PICK UP THE KIDS; TIME TO EXERCISE; TIME TO PRAY; TIME TO SLEEP—TIME CONTROLS ALL OUR ACTIONS!” We all need to focus more on the event that is happening as opposed to how much time I have left to do this.

With all this in mind and if you are still trying to adjust to the DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME—if you arrive an hour late to something don’t beat yourself up. Just try to enjoy that “MOMENT IN TIME”!

As the great Dalai Lama says, “THERE ARE ONLY TWO DAYS IN THE YEAR THAT NOTHNG CAN BE DONE. ONE IS CALLED YESTERDAY AND THE OTHER IS CALLED TOMORROW, SO TODAY IS THE RIGHT DAY TO LOVE, BELIEVE, DO AND MOSTLY LIVE!” Enjoy your time because it is yours!
