Combine sugar, water, corn syrup and salt in a glass casserole dish.
Cover with saran wrap and microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes. Remove from microwave and remove plastic wrap.
Stir well and return to microwave, uncovered. Cook on HIGH for another 4-5 minutes until it reaches hard ball stage when a little of it is dropped in cold water.
Remove and cool for 4 minutes.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Pour sugar mixture over egg whites beating constantly with mixer until mixture starts to lose its gloss and hold together, about another 4-5 minutes
Stir in vanilla and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonful onto wax paper and let cool.
Keep in airtight container.

*****After using the glass casserole dish, place immediately in warm soapy water to clean the sugar mixture. This recipe came to me through some friends on FACEBOOK. They say it works great. Give it a try!
